Hello everyone! This week for our dev-blog post we’re releasing a summary of the guidelines for conflict between factions, which include everything from skirmishes, keep assaults, to conquest of factions.
Conflict is part of life in Elain Valley, and we expect to see frequent conflict ranging from local skirmishes/feuds to wars of conquest that will transform the map. Hence the scenario will likely end with different factions than what we're beginning with, as a result of settlements being conquered and groups subjugated or driven away.
Only one thing needs to be discussed here (everything else is listed on the thread linked below), and that's faction relics. ‘Relic items’ are a unique addition to this scenario, each faction has two; a passive and a combat relic. These are unique weapons and items with a name and history relevant to the faction. Unlike virtually all other pieces of gear, when a character with a relic is CKed, the relic can be looted from a dead relic holder. Passive relics will be held by the faction leader at all times. The combat relic will be held by a faction character chosen by the faction leader (not himself), and cannot change hands once a feud/war has began.
